Key officials of the Schools Division of Bais City convened for a three-day intensive strategic planning activity to set the divisionโ€™s direction and priorities for 2026.

The activity was conducted under the guidance of Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Bernadette Susvilla and led by Officer-in-Chargeโ€“Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Nilita Ragay. During the planning sessions, Dr. Ragay presented the annual targets assigned to each of the three functional divisions, providing a clear roadmap for the year ahead.

Dr. Ragay reminded program holders and unit heads that all programs, plans, and activities must be aligned with both the division targets and the goals of the Department of Education Development Plan (DEDP) to ensure coherence and impact.

Beyond the presentation of division targets, program holders presented their respective project proposals to the top management. These proposals were designed to address identified gaps across various aspects of public education in the division.

Education Program Supervisors from the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) presented plans focused on addressing curriculum-related concerns, in close collaboration with the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) to ensure effectiveness and sustainability. Meanwhile, SGOD program coordinators also shared their proposed initiatives, highlighting their role in supporting improved curriculum delivery and school operations.

Planning Officer Florante Bacang emphasized the importance of aligning Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs) with departmental targets. He underscored the need for accurate identification of long-standing school-related concerns and the pursuit of practical and effective solutions.

According to Bacang, many of the issues identified have persisted for years despite various interventions. He noted that factors beyond the departmentโ€™s control have contributed to the continued existence of these challenges, making strategic and well-coordinated planning even more crucial.

Dr. Susvilla and Dr. Ragay, together with CID Chief Arnulfo Adana and SGOD Chief Emmanuel Garcia, are currently reviewing the proposed initiatives for possible adoption and implementation in the field. #DasigBais#DepEdBais#DepEdNIR#DepEdPhilippines
