Baisanon delegates have been challenged to bring home more medals from this year’s Central Visayas Regional Athletics Association (CVIRAA) meet in Cebu City.

Dr. Bernadette Susvilla, School Division Superintendent, led Monday’s orientation for student-athletes and coaches at Bais City Pilot School Covered Court, where she encouraged the delegation for a successful campaign.

“I hope, like last year, we can win medals for Bais City,” Dr. Susvilla said in Bisaya.

Dr. Susvilla also introduced focus group discussions on the student-athletes’ in-house training experience, which lasted almost a month.

Facilitated by division personnel, student-athletes provided feedback to enhance the annual in-house training in the future.

Based on initial data, most of the concerns revolved around the challenges of conducting half-day classes, maintaining cleanliness in the comfort rooms, and requests for extended training time.

“We have everything we need, but we require more time for training,” expressed a student-athlete.

The superintendent assured student-athletes and their coaches that they would carefully consider all feedback and make necessary adjustments for next year’s in-house training.

Ryan Villavicencio, Administrative Officer V of DepEd Bais, encouraged the delegation to give their best by trusting in their skills and capabilities.

The delegation, consisting of 414 student-athletes, coaches, trainers, and the program management team, will depart for Cebu City on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
