A small yet strong delegation of talented students from Baisanon is in Toledo City, Cebu, for the weeklong Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT) 2024.

Led by Dr. Bernadette Susvilla, Schools Division Superintendent of Bais City, they hope for another fruitful campaign this year, despite having a smaller delegation than last year.

DepEd Bais outperformed 19 other division offices in Central Visayas in the fruit carving and Likhawitan categories last year, earning the opportunity to represent in the National Festival of Talents (NFOT) held in Cagayan de Oro City.

Bringing the Baisanon spirit to the regional stage, Bais City National Science High School students are set to perform in the street dancing and Bayle sa Kalye categories after today’s opening ceremonies at the new New Toledo City Megadome.

Bascians secured last year’s second spot in Bayle sa Kalye, earning praise from judges who described them as the “dark horse” among the 20 contingents.

Dr. Susvilla expressed gratitude to the local government unit of Bais City, led by Mayor Luigi Marcel Goñi, for supporting the delegation.

Joining Ma’am Adette are Dr. Nilita Ragay, ASDS; Arnulfo Adana, CID Chief; Emmanuel Garcia, SGOD Chief; Arturo Adriatico, EPSvr-MAPEH; and Rosemarie Vailoces, EPP/TLE and SHS Coordinator.

Division officials are joined in the picture with Dr. Salustiano Jimenez, Deped-7 Regional Director and Atty. Fiel Almendra, Deped-7 Asst. Regional Director.
